Emergency Liberal Elitism Alert: PETA has gone too far. I think it's time every single American write them a letter telling them to go stuff themselves. Show up at PETA headquaters in furs and eating hamburgers. Turn 100,000 lab mice loose in their offices.
If you wait for government or the tax-supported telcos, you'll be waiting a long time. Do it yourself.
I've commented on this before. Don't believe a word: the language of the RAVE Act is very unconstitutional, and a dangerous start down the road to the revocation of rights. I'll be on the lookout for a link to the bill itself, if possible.
Fly the friendly skies! Another Airline bailout, but not what you think.

We need a LOT more of this.
War with Iraq? Not going to be the armageddon as predicted by the doves. From Jane's website:
"At the outset, remember who the critics are. They are the people who predicted Armageddon in all recent conflicts. The critics claimed a decade ago that the war to remove Saddam from Kuwait would last 'for decades'; its most intensive phase lasted less than a month. They also said that 'huge numbers' of Western soldiers would be killed. In fact, hundreds died. They predicted that Saddam's Republican Guards would 'fight to the end'; in fact, they ran away."
I'm convinced this can produce more benefits than drawbacks.

Impossible! Senator Hollings forms a good idea! The world is coming to an end.

Another fabulous Walter Williams column.
I always know I can find a BS science story on CNN.com. Here's the latest. It's about, what else, global warming. I offer another hypothesis: pollution, maybe?
Almost too damn rediculous to report. Do the French know about this?
If you are looking for conspiracies and subtle terrorist attacks here's a start.
As far as profiling goes, I can agree and disagree. The premise of the article is since all of the hijackers were Arabs, then we should only be searching Arab visitors. I say yes, but, John Walker Lindh was not an Arab. Thus, terrorist profiles need a bit more work, though seaching Saudis and Egyptians is a start to solving the problem. Tell them the same thing you tell the blue-haired old lady: If you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to fear. Don't call it profiling, call it threat assessment.

Excellent story. And this has got to be about the coolest photograph I have ever seen. Talk about a big bang!
Iran speaks out.! My answer: Yes, and so should anyone else. Unless you don't really care for your people, that is.
"The American administration has a misunderstanding about their own power and their own interests," Khatami said. "Since Sept. 11, this administration has taken an angry approach to foreign policy."
Reasonable, given the fact that 3000 Amercian civilians lost their lives from the actions of followers of the peaceful and benevolent religion of Islam. Islamic Terrorists bombed the Marine Barracks in Lebannon, killing 270 Marines. We did nothing. It's a trend the Islamic terrorists seem to have gotten used to. Hopefully, our current President plans to put an end to that trend. Too bad it came to the killing of thousands to wake up the Federal Government. It should have ended with the first ever terrorist murder.

Meaningless. We elect officials to determine matters of government, such as whether or not we will go to war to protect us and our interests. We do not conduct such policy by polls and surveys. Or, at least we had better not.

Serves 'em right! What a society of wackos we have become.
Now, if we could only find some way to tie white male Americans to this problem, we could get billions in funding to fix it.
To catch the latest PC garbage, read Tongue Tied.
Clearly, Iraq is hiding something. Our "friends" the Saudis should worry, as should the Iranians, amongst others, primarily Kuwait.
One more reason to boot the UN out of New York, and for us to leave it.
A story to interest archaeologists and chess fans alike.
