Some things are just too damn funny. Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it! Here's an excellent editorial.
Maybe I'm just too stupid to see the big picture, but I see no sense in training our enemies to be better fighters. Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda were beneficiaries of American training for the Mujahideen against the Soviet Union. We have very few, if any, real allies in the region, but a lot of two-faced enemies.

What is wrong with higher education? Here's my take: too much federal funding, brain drain, and political correctness. Federal funding breeds an atmosphere of ass-kissing. This does little to actually improve the education of our children, unless the lesson we want to teach them is to grovel for the government. Brain drain is the real shame: good teachers, the smart ones, are leaving the profession for private sector jobs where they can earn more, get more respect, and advance based upon merit, not tenure, color of their skin, or gender. The political correctness is evident in the editorial above. Certain subjects or representations are taboo - white American males or Jews, specifically, to include capitalism and democratic republics (namely, the U. S.).

Joke o' the day: Argus Hamilton -" The Washington Times says terrorists plan to attack a U.S. nuclear power plant July 4th. They will reportedly use a small, dirty radioactive bomb. The last time one of these was used it resulted in ten years of really bad science fiction movies. "
In Defense of Elitism. I agree. No, really. Really really. GO read it and see why. Goldberg is a genius.

Here are two (1, 2) fine examples illustrating the fundamental problem with America today. Like socialism, it's redistribution of wealth, taken from those who have earned it and given to those who complained the loudest. It's just an indication of moral decay.

What's wrong with Global Warming? Well, everything. This is about the best article I've read explaining the carelessness of the science behind global warming theory.
Nothing in this article surprises me. Socialism may sound great on paper, but it's practical application leaves a lot to be desired. The Peoples Republic of China is not. Only the names have changed; very little about China is different than before the socialist revolution. Wealth was only redistributed from the emperor to the new rulers. Same poverty, same hunger, same oppression.
